2023 Calgary Japanese Festival “Omatsuri”

NEW FOR 2023: This year our festival will begin on Friday August 11 from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

This year we are planning on adding a Friday Night component, both days Omatsuri which in Japanese means ‘Festival’. We are currently working on the details, please check back often as we will update the site as plans are finalized.

As in the past, the traditional Saturday Festival will be filled with Japanese performances, children’s games, arts and culture, lots of your favorite Japanese vendors, and cuisine. Don’t miss the fabulous Sake tasting as well as the beer garden!

We hope that you will join on either or both of the Festival days and support the members of the Japanese Canadian Community as we share our heritage, culture and traditions (new and old).

NOTE:  There is limited parking on site, we encourage all volunteers & guests to use Calgary Transit as the LRT stops right at Max Bell Centre
